Driving up the hill into work this morning at 8:30, I'm ashamed to admit that I felt somewhat disappointed that the world hadn't actually disappeared with a big bang and I would have to face another day in the office.
When I reached my desk, I was somewhat disturbed to discover the number of colleagues who had been sharing the self same thought.
It really is time to start making some changes...

Same with us at work. We counted down and debated last meals. Mine was a curry whilst I took pot shots at Giles Brandreth with a rifle.
Oddly enough, yesterday was an extremely quiet day. Maybe all of those in crisis realised there are better and more important things to get on with.
Let's run away to Dublin and live in the Temple Bar.
Delcatto - not sure as I would waste time on Giles seeing as he would be finished with shortly anyway. Would also free up a hand to drink Hobgoblin/Summer Lightning/Steaming Billy Bitter/All of the above
Em - I'm in! Think I could happily survive on a diet of whiskey, Guinness and oysters
Sod the Temple Bar.
Galway or Cork where the craic is far better, the oysters tastier and the women are prettier.
Well in the short term I'm heading off to the Tap bar now where the craic is as good as it gets around here and the women and oysters... never mind, I'll keep that thought to myself!
Was the beer good and did Dave have any oysters on the menu?
I won't ask about the women because the women in the Tap as we know are all lovely! Especially the attractive barmaids.
(Has that earned me a free pint?).
No oysters but the beer was very good as always... in the Tap and the County
